as promised, some test shots produced at my DIY studio. haha.
it's not a real studio though. just messing around and using what i have in the house.
i really learned a thing or two about lighting from this experiment.

the one on top is before and the one below is after. the diffuser spreads out the light pretty good. DIY maa..
take note that a diffuser not only softens the light, but also the shadows too.
here's another example. using my canon s5is. the DIY diffuser also spreads out the light.
the shadows give the camera curves XD
take note at the hinge connecting the lcd screen and the body.
notice the difference?
harsh light(top) is not pleasent for the eyes of the viewers.
not bad for a DIY eyh? haha.
